Zukimelt
« on: July 10, 2004, 03:06:38 PM »
Today I went to Zukimelt.  It was fun do some some more intense trails than I usually get to do.  The Tracker did everything I asked of it without missing a beat.  The Hi-Tech retreads performed great.  A place that I struggled with last year I walked right up this year.  The tires made a huge difference.  I was dissappointed in the number of Trackicks there.  The ratio of Sammys to Trackicks was like 10 to 1.  One older Sammy driver commented that I was brave to take a Tracker on the trails.  It was an exhuasting day though.  The drive there and back took 4 hours each way.  We spent about 5 hours at the Badlands wheeling.  I wanted to do more trails, but I also wanted to make sure I didn't break anything and could drive it home!  It would be nice to have a tow bar setup so I could drive there in comfort and not worrry about breaking something.  One of the more interesting things I say there was a bus converted into a camper/car carrier.  A friend that went with me commented that it was the most extreme 4-wheeling he had done.  He has been driving Jeeps on mountain trails for years, but had never done trails as rough as the ones we did today.  He was impressed with the Tracker's capabilities.

I like the bus Idea . If I could find one of those 4wheeldrive buses.
I think you need a great big white star on your hood.
Glad you had fun and made it home in 1 piece ;D

I didn't get to take as many pictures as I would have liked to.  The pics in the creek would have been great.  It's kind of hard to get out and take pics though when you are on a group ride.
