With twin sticks you can get 2 lo. Does that mean with 4.24 transfer case gears you can drive around (on the trails) in 2 lo and get the same reduction you would get in 4 lo?

current: 16v 3 spd auto, 4.30 22 spline, 2" coil spacer 3" body  31's on 15x7 2.5 BS

thinking: 16v 3 spd auto, 5.12 26 spline (already have)
3" Calmini suspension (early Christmas coming soon!!! I'm my own Santa Clause )
                                    Stans twin stick (PM'ed yesterday)
4.24 Rockmonster t case gears (unless anyone has any better ideas)
front locker (not convinced I need a rear, can someone sell me on it?)
                                    33x10.5
What do you guys think?

Yes you get low in 2wd just like in 4 low, that being said, get the rear
locker so when you use your twin stick you can drive through the tough
stuff without having to kick in the front axle for traction

Ok Wild, you convinced me ::) rear locker is added to the list. With the 3 speed auto, 5.12's and 4.24 t case gears would I be better off with 33's or 34's? Or should I go with 4.62's (which I also have) and 34's?

At least get the 5.12 diff gears, 4.62s are stock in earlier Auto Trans
kicks, like mine, I have 5.83s and think I want a Undertaker from Trail Tough
but also need to get 5.12 gears to go with it

If you want to get rid of those 4.62's lemme  know. Go with the 33's, 5.12's, you'll dig it.

Update:  I got rockrat's twin stick shipped the other day.  It looks great.  Just have to put it in the new case...but haven't ordered that yet, either  >:( well I will post pics of the install process to help future people.  Scott's instructions were very clear, it seems easy enough.
By the way, good business from Scott.  Parts look great, pricing was right, good to buy from.

To all who've installed a twin stick.  Does the 4wd indicator light still work as it should?  Or does messing with a twin stick screw that up?  It's not a necessity, but I'd sure like if it functioned normally  ???

Lights work normal, they turn on and off with the shift shaft positions

I figured so...wasn't sure.  If they didn't anyways, it'd still be worth it to have the extra function.
I'll probably use the Dana 300 twin boot for the interior...seems like a lot of people have had good luck with that.

I will as soon as I get it done.  I won't detail the part about removing the center detent ball, though...I am leaving that up to the shop building my case.

the center detent is the only tricky part, kinda what I was wondering about. I have rock4x twins ready to go in just have not done it yet. would like too see pics of others doing it. (well not actually "DOING IT")(well maybe.....)
