suziuki 4x4 sled pulling league

ultra-light 4x4 truck pulling. it would be cheap and fun. could limit to 25 inch tires and vehicle weight to 2500-3000lb or something and the stock tranny would hold up for a long time. have a turbo and non turbo class.

if you put toyota axels under them they would handle pulling for sure.

their running a class similar to that in kentucky, 4x4 s-10s/rangers/dakotas with about 350 ci small blocks and they pull a mini version of the transfer weight sled that the big tractors and trucks do.

id build a tracker to pull. just to see how much power i could squeeze outta a 1.6l w/ a turbo.

any thoughts?

haha im not optimistic enough to think i could get a 1.6 to run against a bulit 350 lol but in their own class they would be fun to mess around with.

iv got a vision of a tracker with 25 inch cepek pullers and running 30 psi with a charger  ;D

no takers? im dissapointed. you could get 350+ horse outta one easy with a turbo, good fuel managment, and maybe a little beefing up internaly. wouldnt last forever but you could have some fun with it.

these 500 hp turbo motorcycles you see are the same thing. 4 cyl, 1000 cc w/ hemi head, 25+ psi, and a good fuel managment and ignition to work out lean spots and prevent detonation. if you dont run an engine lean theres not any real reason to melt stuff. the cycles are made of a little better stuff, but just because they red line at 15k rpm. wouldnt need to rev that tho in one of these.

bottom line: 1.6l+good injection+turbo+internal beefing= possibility of big hp

for 2k you could prolly have it working well. less than that if you find something in a junk yard to rob an injection system off of. it wouldnt take much.

i guess i should lead by example tho, i'll see what i can do.
