I have done the RUF setup with TT Missing Links up front with SPUA . I did have "Death Wobble" and seem to have that fixed but my Alignment Guy who I saw today and I trust, says that I might want to get a Drop ed Pitman Arm anyway. I have used the stock Locate Pin on the Leaf Springs so it would move my Axel forward for Tire clearance, this also has brought the Drag Link closer to my Pitman Arm. My question is that if I use a Droped Pitman will it hit my Drag Link? My Samurai is a Daily Driver with all new oem parts ($) on the front end so I am wanting to be safe. Does anyone know the Center Line of the holes of the Dropped Pitman ? If it is just a "Tad" closer to the box I think it will clear my Drag Link.

I had a small hiccup with the arm and I am RUF with a Kick power steer box. It drops it around 2.5" and is about 17mm (a touch under 3/4") longer which is not mentioned anywhere and therefore was causing fouling on the tie-rod. For SPOA vehicles this probably would never be an issue but SPUA cars need to be aware of this. It can be resolved in the build when mounting the steering box but as the box had already been mounted on mine at the time without this new longer arm we had a problem.

It was resolved by enlarging the holes slightly giving us enough play to rotate the box enough to now clear the tie-rod. It also depends how far forward you RUF has moved things.

Hey cj didyou use the stock location of the spring pins or did you re-drill your springs?

I used the stock location and Old Man Emu springs.

Looks Good ! Do you still have your front Sway Bar ? Also, do you think I can move my stock Steering Box like you did ? Is there enough in the Steering Shaft to let it move that far? If you knew ,that would be great, but I think that I don't have any other choice but to try to follow your example.

No swaybar.

The steering is done using a later model collapsible shaft that has been compressed slightly along with a couple of universal joints and a splined section cut off an old steering box. The pic below is with the original Kick pitman arm, not the drop one.

what does your setup look like?

I have RUF, 5" SPOA, 1.5" springs and 1" shackles and needed the drop pitman arm to keep from having such extreme angles but im confused as to what would cause the wobble other than maybe not having sway bar
