Get the highest ratio you can get. In my 95 4 door I have toyota axles with 5.71's, 31's for tires and a manual trans and I have to get into 4th and sometimes 3rd to pull long hills. It will cruise all day at 70 in 5th gear at 4200 rpm till I get to the hills...

97, 4dr with a 2" lift (needs an engine re-build)

How much do you have to spend? And how mechanical are you?
like are you comfortable rebuilding an engine or tearing apart an
auto trans valve body? Can you weld or have access to a friend that can?

I have gears for you, 5.83s but they aren't cheep or available these days
from the old suppliers, both ends have lockers setup in them and will correct
your gearing to a little lower than stock

I have money to spend but trying to keep a budget. But i rather do it right the first time then waste money. Mechanicaly im pretty good, but i never dug into a transmission yet. Thats going to be the first thing i do when i get back from iraq. Have a tracker that i beat the snot out of and ready to make it bigger and better. and yes as in access to welder. What are you asking for them? what kind of lockers are in them?

The front is a Trail Tough 4 spider, and the rear is a Genuine Gear,
I want $1850 for the drop out setup with the lockers installed, and
considering they aren't available anymore that's not a bad deal all set
up with lockers ready to bolt in

Ya, I know, I put the money into them good parts, but the getting
it back is the problem.

I really want to switch over to the Undertaker from Trail Tough,
I wonder what they would give me for them  ::)
