Samurai Vacuum lines and JET/valve parts - Hitachi carb.

Hello. I'm trying to get my Samurai to run better, and I'm trying to locate some better pictures and part numbers associated with the vacuum lines to that stupid carb.

The first one is the JET which connects with the gray side towards the MCV.  The read-me |removethispart||removethispart||removethispart|@ http://acksfaw.com/samvacuumlines.htm says this particular round plastic gadget is important and unfortunately, my Zuk is missing this part completely. -- I tried to attach a picture pointing to the part in question.  Can someone post a better picture of what this thing looks like and maybe the part number and place to buy a replacement.

The second part is labeled as the "vacuum transmitting valve" on a diagram. I've tried to attach a picture with an arrow pointing the part.  Can someone post a better picture and where to get a replacement?  Thanks for any help.

Actually the link to Ack's FAQ is http://acksfaq.com/samvacuumlines.htm.  A typo changed the "q" to a "w" by the  poster...  Stuff happens... ;)

I can't help you with a picture right now, but I bet if you give Hawks Strictly Suzuki a call (800-SAMURAI), they probably can come up with one for you.

The component that you are looking for is about the same diameter of a US quarter and is about 3/4 of an inch long.

Thanks for the tip - I'll give 'em a call.  I'll be sure to post back what I find out.
Thanks for the writeup faq also - it was very helpful.

FYI, Hawks has the JET for $10 used, $22.95 new.  VTV is $15 used, $38.95 new.   The VTV is basically just there to eliminate the backfire with rapid deceleration and is not tied to any of the emissions control junk.  Not sure about the JET yet - I'm having other idling issues with my ZUK that are more pressing at the moment.
