I have the 90 geo tracker with autohubs. If i wanted to put a mini spool in the front i could put manuel hubs in the front and be fine for road driveing while they are disengaged right?

You don't want a spool in the front, lockers in the front are hard
enough to deal with offroad a spool would make it absolutely no
fun to drive.

I have a Trail Tough Locker and a twin stick and I unlock the front
unless I need to traction all the time, if you had manual hubs and a
spool you will hate it, plus you can't always get out and unlock the
hubs when you are wheeling which could put you into a dangerous
situation where you don't want front drive and can't get out.

Just pony up for the locker and get a twin stick, it's well worth it

I'm with Wild on this one.

A good locker like a Lockright - which automatically locks when power is applied - is the way to go.

They are not expensive (around $200) and you'll like the results.  I have one on the front axle of my Samurai and it is easier to drive on the trail .  When I am back on the road, I unlock the hubs and everything is back to normal.

Spools are great if your sole purpose is to go in a straight line - something us offroaders rarely do.

& yes, you can get a remotely-controlled locker (the ultimate choice!) but they start at around 700-800 bucks (ARB).
