I have 33 acres near Corvallis that I would be willing to allocate to fourwheeling. It also backs up against timber lands. Currently its some pasture a couple trails and one hill climb, (pretty lame) but if I could get the man power to build it better I would be all for it. maybe a amateur rock garden all the dirt trails we can fit? mud bog? a squirrel race track?? I'm wide open for suggestions. thanks Jared 8)

Just a thought, not sure how it is in Oregon.  Have you checked into zoning issues/permits, anything the city/town may want to shut you down for?

We have a place local for us that the farmer "donated" his property (actually his boys run the property).  They hold some PNW races, mud bogs and even made a MX track.  They have had a few events and now the neighbors and "town" want to shut them down.  Too much traffic, noise, mud, etc......  They are getting them with zoning issues and traffic use issues.

Not wanting to be a stick in the mud, and I am all for more areas to play.  Just hate to see you go through all the trouble of getting something put together with a lot of time and effort to have it shut down with a piece of paper from your neighbors or such.

If you can get it put together I would go for trails and an area to put together a cross country type track ;D

if i was close id be down, sounds like a great project/project testing area :P  i would think as long as your not charging, zoning wouldnt be all to much of a prob but as far as flingin mud onto the road.... then again im a Texas boy and we always decided not to care(we didnt get caught either).

if your not charging a fee...then its just friends havin fun at your place..only prob. would be at night with noise ordinances after 9-10pm....other than that they cant til you how to use your land...until you ask for a fee then they can enforce... traffic, parking, facilities, handicap(you laugh, but watch), enviromental impact....so long point short, dont charge a dollar and have a big tip jar!

yep, that's the way it would be. I'm out in the middle of nowhere and centrally located between the coast and Willamette valley. just want to offer like minded people somewhere to work out there transfer cases. seems like were living in a world that constantly is stealing out RIGHTS (freedom; remember it?) and OUR public lands are taken on a regular basis so.....it seems like the least I could do.
I also will no longer be afraid of my own shadow or cower to the freedom nazi's therefore any repercussions from this offering will be handled personally and head on!

so? DO YOU WANNA WHEEL????? >:D

I would be game to help as well... my cousin (Greg M.) has access to heavy equipment and has built multiple offroad trails, rock crawls, R/C tracks, etc. on private property and some on public land during official work parties.  He's becoming known for his abilities.  :)

Keep us updated on this and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks,
