« on: June 22, 2004, 03:56:59 PM »
Ok I have been working on my tracker and have put TJ front coil springs on the rear and made 2.5" strut spacers and got some 2" spring spacers for the front.  Will I have CV angle problems or what problems am I gonna have?? I've got 33" tires on it and we really didn't know what problems we will have?? Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!  Thanks,

With your struts spaced down 2.5" and everything alse in it's stock location, your bound (no pun intended :P) to have CV carnage at full drop. I would bet that they will over extend and pull the inner CV past the retention clip and seperate. I would do some form of diff drop to keep this from happening. I also would check the center link of the rear suspension. I dont know how much lift the TJ coils give, but make sure it is not binding (directly above where it attaches to the 3rd member.

Also I have heard that a 2"spacer witt throw your alignment out, causing the need for camber bolts.

Thanks ZUKIPILOT!! I already know about the camber bolts.  I really dont want to drop the axle though! :-[ Also the spring spacers I got from Roadless gear said they were 2" spring spacers and now on their website they say 1.5" spacers.  I got them 2 days ago and their 1.5" spacers and when I ordered them on their website they said they were 2" spacers??  Any help on that??
        Thanks,

Actually a 1.5" spacer will probably give you about 2" of lift at the front wheel. Just check out the OL cv's. I tried to squeek a little more out of my calmini 2" Lift and trashed CV from over extending untill the day I put it back to normal.
