« on: June 22, 2004, 01:36:02 PM »
I got a free Calamini catalog in the mail yesterday! That was a nice surprise!

Sounds weird to say, but it's even better then their web site!

Eric is that your truck in the Sidekick section?  Is that you driving it?   ;D

they do make and ship there products on time..my bl got here in 4 days just somethings need to be made u need to remember these are not jeeps or some other kind of car that has a HUGE aftermarket following

calmini has to do things a certain way to make money..part of that is sell 10 bumpers then make them...that keeps cost down to a minimum

i have to goto work leave me alone  ::) lol

Glad your body lift made it in 4 days, not the 3 months it took to get mine.....and they aren't very pleasant on the phone. The thing that bugged me most was that they charged my card long before it was ever shipped.

I think part of the problem is that they have made a lot of new stuff in the last couple of years. Mabey they didnt count on demand for their new products to be so high? Every time Ive called there they are runnin wide open to keep up. Mabey to keep cost down they do need to build only 10 at a time. Would you be happier if the charged $50 more but had them on hand? Just food for thought. I do think they are going to need to expand to keep up with the growing sidekick buisness.

I agree with Mike Some of you may have been running zooks for a long time and some not, I have and bitch if you want but it was not that long ago there was nothing for aftermarket for Suzuki's, there have been lots of johnny come latleys in the last few years but Calmini has been around for a long time, I still have my 1987 Calmini wish book, How many other vendors are making stuff for the kicks, Calmini and Calmini alone has but putting stuff out for this vehicle, there are a few others with collected pre manufactured bits ,but they are not producing squat. They will get my dollars every single time over someone else, I want a company like this to exsist I don't want to have to buy a jeep to get aftermarket parts.

i agree. i don't want calmini to lose interest in developing stuff for the trackicks. i plan on more of there products soon, and if they are on back order when i order them so be it. i'd rather wait a couple of months or so to get a quality product then some lame crap from other vendors.

Most people would not spend the extra. Hell, the number one comment towards their lift kits is "I would get one if it did not cost so much", and it's not expensive for what you get (a completely new suspension) and not just a set of springs or spacers.

Also the Anvil is a good example. Alot of people comment on how expensive it is. It also is not expensive for what you get. I have alot of friends that drag race. They were VERY impressed with Calmini's Anvil, including the price. They were amazed and the quailty and how inexpensive it was. Stating that it appeared to be as strong as custom parts they would order for their drag cars, alot cheaper than what they could order, and the quailty was unbeleavible.

They have been doing an awesome job at keeping us in awesome off-road oriented aftermarket parts for years and I hope they keep doing the same. I dont mind waiting for quailty built parts that has NEVER let me down.
