Whats the arm on the rear end of a sidekick? Its just that, the strut, and spring. And can you buy just the bushing for it?

Maybe you're confused - the rear suspension of the sidekick has an arm (at the top), two trailing rods (lower left & right), two coil springs and two shock absorbers - which one are you asking about?

The bushings for the trailing rods come separate from the rods, those for the arm don't

when you work in the auto industry, or just work on cars for that matter you start to calling thing all different names....


Fordem is correct I believe the "actual" name for the lower "links" are trailing arms. The rear suspension of the sidekick/tracker is a three link with coil springs and "shocks." Struts are up front. Struts are a little different then shocks, they dampen like a shock, but also are a key to the suspension geometry. Ie in the sidekick they act like an upper control arm.


Of coarse some ppl call things different things in different areas. And it gets confusing fast. I think a lot of major "lift vendors" are calling these links control arms, which just adds to it......anyways.....these rear lower trailing arm/links have replaceable bushings. They are not the easiest to replace, because they require a press to replace. I think this it a link to the part you are referring too....

that is just a link to a '94....I don't know if the years are different, but if you need some make sure you get them specific to your vehicle.

Thanks guys. Figured out the problem but think im going in a complete different direction now. Have a kick thats falling apart but has a good lift and other parts so gonna make one good one out of 2.
