Holy Virtual Makeover Batman!
« on: June 18, 2004, 01:10:54 AM »
I just completed my mini-makeover of my Tracker.  Here is a before shot.

I painted it using Rustoleum Camouflage paint.  That cost about $40.  I also put a set of 235/75/15 M/T retreaded tires from http://www.high-tec-retreading.com on it.  The tires make it sit up about 2 inches higher than the stock ones did.  My uncle and I mounted them on his ancient tire mounter.  It was surprisingly easy.  The tires were $240 with shipping.  They ride much better on the road then I expected.  They have some noise at low and high speeds, but not bad at all.  My speedometer has always been about 5 mph faster than actual speed.  With the larger tires it is right on.  Makes me wonder if the previous owner had bigger tires and corrected the speedo for it.  Here is the after shot.

Here are various other shots.

Nice it hides the body blemishes and imperfections from past accidents.

I ordered the OTR mud.  The only thing I am disapointed in is that 2 of the tires had white outlining and 2 didn't.  So I had to go blackwall.

Wow Keith, that looks REALLY good.  i guess my photoshop helped then [LOL]
But it is amazing how just another set of tires can improve the look of these things.  and with the right tires the performance improves too.  so looks like you did a little wheeling already, any noticible off-road gains with those new meats?
now a great idea would be for you to slap a set of 2inch coil spacers on, that's my next mod.

Looks good. Blackwalls out help it with the stealthy/camo look. Now all that's left is to paint your wheels flat black ;)

Hey Keith, when is the mini-gun turret going in? I personally recommend the behind the headlight rocket launchers! Cool rig man, I bet you feel like a G.I. Joe, man I know I would!! hehe

Paint the wheels olive drab too, that'll really help 'the look'.
