Poor quality struts? what brand do you get?

Drop the whole diff, pull the axle shafts, they pry out
and take all the bolts off, I use a wood chisel to get
between the case and 3rd member, once it cracks
it should come apart with little trouble

For the struts you may need to put in a limiting strap to stop the struts from ever-extending.  That and bottoming out are the two worst things you can do to a strut.

Did you do a strut mount flip? I know that relieves a lot of stress a 2" coil spacer puts on a strut.

how do you separate the front third member from the differential case?

you can also wack it with a rubber mallet down at the pinion end of the housing.  hit it in all different directions until it breaks loose.  The only thing holding it in is the sealant.  The chisel will obviously work, but you need to be real careful not to gouge the sealing surface and have a leak down the road.  It may take a little longer, but I've never used anyting other than a rubber mallet to get a suzuki or toyota third member out.

Have you got any downtravel on the suspension? You should either do the strut mount flip or preferrably fit strut spacers, you should also have longer shocks.
The diff can be a real problem, I usually use a jack under the third member to break it free before disconnecting the upper and lower control arms.

The front diff is very easy to separate from the housing.  Once you have the housing out on the ground (and the long shaft removed from inside the housing), rotate the housing so the pinion is pointing straight up, step on the long side of the housing and pull the pinion end of the third towards the short axle side.....it should pop loose.  If that method doesn't work, then once you have the pinion pointing straight up, raise the long side up off the ground a little bit and while holding on tight to the pinion flange, either stomp down on the long end of the housing or smack it with a hammer.....it usually doesn't take much to break the third loose from the housing.
