Wich manual did you find most usefull ??? I want to get me one of them but don't know which one is better (and I know Haynes has some faults in it)......

  I suggest you get a factory service manual.  Way better than either the Haynes or Chilton.

But then there's the question where do I get this ??? the haynes or chilton are easy to get..... and as far as I know there is no one over here (the netherlands) selling a FSM  >:(

I found the Chiltons has more info on both the Sammy and Kick but the Haynes is geared more towards the Sammy.

Compared to their prices, I paid less from Hawk's Strictly Suzuki for my 95 FSM's.

But they're EXPENSIVE!

Do I think the factory Service Manuals are WORTH $250?

granted, I've seen them cheaper on ebay (~35 or so), but not $250 ...

(A newer model search turned up ... "2002 Tracker Shop Service Repair Manual 3 Vol. Set By GEO Chevrolet  (B02_GMT02JE)
$149.95" so that's getting spendy ...)

Yeah - for the 95 Sidekick, you need the 93 FSM, the 94/95 Supplement, and the 92-95 Parts guide.

Well, you don't NEED the parts guide, but it does two things for you - it shows you how all the parts go together (better than the FSM), and it gives you the CORRECT Suzuki part number for all the parts, so there's no question.

The first time I asked the Suzuki Parts Guy for timing chain tensioners for my wife's 99 GV, I got 1 tensioner for a 99 GV, 1 tensioner for a 98 1.8L 4-banger, and no third tensioner at all!  Now, I tell them the part numbers I need, and they get the RIGHT parts to me.

I went in to get mine (it's close so no shipping) ...

For the 91, it wasn't spendy at all (something like $55 for the FSM and electrical supplement). Was nice to be able to compare both the "geo" and "suzuki" manuals and they were the same ("geo" was laid out wierd and index wasn't as good, but content was the same).

From what you're saying maybe I do want the "89-93 Tracker Parts & Illustration Catalog by Geo  (91_Track_Part)  $59.95" ... i dunno maybe.

For the '95 they have "95 Tracker Shop Service Repair Manual by Geo  (95_Trak_Svc)  $79.95" and "92-95 Sidekick Parts Manual by Suzuki  (935_Side_Parts)  $89.95" ... I do see tho how going with all "suzuki manuals" does add up for a 95 ...

These 3, for my 1992 Vitara (CAMI built so the same as the kick's and trackers...)
With shipping that'd be costly I guess..... It's allready about $200 without shipping  :o
Hmmm, thanks for the help boys! might eventually still get the chiltons as it costs about 1/10th of this  ::)

as far as the sidekick goes the haynes manual sucks ass. i paid $30 for mine only to find it useless, so i gave it away. i've got the .pdf version of it now, and it still sucks ass  ;D

i can't speak for the chilton's but i've heard it aint any better.

i would like to find a fsm for a good price.

You can usually find a tracker or sidekick FSM on ebay.  Buy it now prices around 50-60, sometimes less if they are showing some grease.

I had that haynes weird ass sidekick/samurai combo book, but the first thing I did after buying my sidekick was was pony up  12% of the purchase price to buy the service manual.  Money well spent.

Is it Haynes publishes Chiltons or the other way around? I know they are the same company, just can't remember.

Great site charlie, gonna keep that in my favorites to use in addition to my chilton's I've ordered. But isn't this page password protected (or should it be?). The reason I wanted a book because I wanted to have something on paper without needing to print first  ;D But thanks for all the tips guys  8)
