Brand new headlight?  Used headlights?  Always the same side?
If brand new.....poor quality replacement lights?.....too much voltage?
If used.....just coincidence?....too much voltage?

Brand new,two left one right,if voltage should other lights ect have problems. Do I need to install a relay for the lights?

I doubt a relay is needed.  A relay circuit for headlights is generally used to get more voltage to the lights (and low voltage shouldn't make the lights burn out quicker).
Have you checked to see how much voltage is at the headlight plug?  Check it with the vehicle running and have someone rev the engine and hold it at 2500RPM or so and check the voltage.
What brand of headlights are you buying?

Are you running quartz headlights?  Low voltage will kill quartz bulbs faster than anything.  The reason: the lower the voltage, the higher the amperage..  My Monte Carlo burnt out 3 quartz bulbs in a month when I first put them in. After installing relays due to the advice of a mechanic, no more burnt bulbs.

Relay's are always a good idea on headlights in the sammi.  Anything 16ga and up in wiring is fine, despite what some will tell you (some even run 10ga which is just silly).

The relay will draw volts right from the battery and bypass the silly out and back wiring in the sammi.  I tested the voltage at my lights at idle and it was 11.5.  I then ran two relays using 16ga wiring, ran new plugs (pep boys, $10 for both) and now I get about 12.9 when the truck is off, at the headlights.

I haven't run it yet to test voltage, but it's night and day difference.  Pep Boys also has 30/40 amp SPST relays for $2.99 a piece or $4.99 with the plug.

Can't beat it.  Here's a link for how to wire it up, and some other chit chat about it:

Relays should come in the box, included free,  with most aftermarket stuff, you almost always need them for anything drawing any real power. Also a cheap multimeter should be in the same section at most autoparts stores. ;)
