Best fuel pump for 1,6 EFI in a samurai?
« on: November 13, 2010, 12:27:03 AM »
Need some advice on a fuelpump.

Currently running a 1,6 8v with a corolla carb in my SJ, but I have the injection system from the enginge and since the carb is getting worn out I was thinking it was a good time to upgrade.

Are there any good external fuelpumps, or should I weld in a stock sidekick pump in the tank?

Never weld in or on a gas tank, very dangerous and risky, even when
you think it's empty and clean, heat will bring out vapors and you can
get blown up  :o

i would swap the tank out for a EFI Sammy tank with pump, an internal pump will be much quieter.

I know how to safely weld on a tank but thanks anyway :)

Not many EFI samurais in sweden, and if I find one, the tank and pump assebley will probably be destroyed by rust.

Thanks Hustler for the F150 tip, going to check ebay to se if I can find anyone that ships to sweden  ;D

OK, I know how to also, but I would never try to instruct someone online
and I don't want to hear about any of our site members getting hurt from
trying to weld on a fuel tank, so never is the best answer here
