cut, chop, rebuild
« on: June 14, 2004, 03:10:35 PM »
i'm planing for next winters mods.  i want to do somthing like the WW3.  mabey not cut the back half off if i don't need to but i need 2 t-cases.  i'm also looking for some more flex but tire rub is a big issue on my tracker.  if i put a stock sammy case behind my 5 speed with 5.12 gears will it be ok on the street?
i need 2 case for 2 resones.
1: is that i need some reduction for street use.
2: is that i was on the rocks a few weeks ago and it sucked bad cuz i was geared way too high.
and any other ideas are so vary welcome. plz anything else just say it.

thanks, stu

if u go with 36 i would have to say that IROKS by superswamper way out preform tsl's and weigh alot less. i live about 30 minutes from the super swamper factory and they let use test out tires  on the street and off road. u can keep them for 10 days and have to fill out a information packet on the tire. the wieght of the 36 irok was less than my 32" tsl's. and road 50% better on road. off road it pulls in the mud as hard as a bogger. it has a lot more flex at low psi which is great for rocks. not many rocks in south west louisiana. but over all probly the best tire swamper has come out with to bad they don't make smaller sizes. another tire that is alot like a swamper is a CO-OP that factory is about 15 miles down the road. the guy used to engineer tires for swamper. CO-OPs are really cheap. $110 for a 34" tire.
4 1/2 body
Coil spacers
cheap but effective
31" LTB Swampers
