Can anybody help me find 5.83 R&P for the rear of my Kick and no Calmini can't  >:(

IF I can ever get my seller to contact me,we will be re-gearing my husband's Samurai, and will be selling the 5.38s out of the rear of the Sami. He trashed the front pinion and we have decided to just re-gear.The rears,as far as we know, are in good shape and aren't that old.
Don't know, though,if the ones out of a Samurai (88.5) will work in a Kick/Tracker. Might wanna check.

It is a shame that Calmini can not supply 5.83 R&P's at present because that is the next modification for ZeusZuki. To all of you who are bitching about the service from Calmini, I have this to say: If you can do better then lets see it, if not then just close your trap and give them a break. Calmini are an inovative company and without them we would all be running Toyota ( wash my mouth out please ) swaps or similar or worse yet, nothing at all. They have motivated us "to the bone Zuk owners" into the fantastic machines we all enjoy today - SO BACK OFF!!! or we might lose the best thing that happened to Zuk's period. True they did not build it all but they certainly have inspired many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with Zig on this too.

Mainlander? Not sure what you are suggesting there.  I come from the South Island of New Zealand - over here we are called "Mainlanders".
So is "mainlander" good or bad?

cj: Well mate, you have obviously never been to the South Island or Christchurch and if you have you must have mixed with the wrong people. A few years back I did the Australian Road Racing Champs with a friend of mine and to be honest I did not think Australia to bad a place considering what I had been told. This friend used to live in Melbourne for a few years and he thought the place was Ok. He lives here again though - thought the life style over there was a bit too busy. You should pop in if you are ever over here and do some wheeling with us on the West Coast - Native Bush ( Rain Forest ) and some great trails, mostly old DOC access stuff, but not used for a long time, overgrown and very scenic. Have you ever been to a "Tough Truck Challenge"? They look like a real good time. My Mum lives in Sydney / Wollongong so I hope to check one out some time.

I see Cal Mini as a company that goes over the top in everything they do.  Thier products most always seem first rate.  A few year back I ran their Samurai Shackle reversal and was impressed with the fit and design.

I believe they are making promises on parts and calculating business need, and all the while streamlinig their operation, aiming for just in time delivery / selling all the oreders upon arrival.  I'd like to think they are headded the right direction, But I'd also like them to be a little more honest about availibility.

BTW are Kick dropped pitman arms in yet?  I need to give Cal Mini another call.

Zeus, I actually quite like the South Island just being a little tongue in cheek, got relatives in Christchurch and been down for some skiing too. I'm in Melbourne now but have spent time in Sydney too. Still go up to play from time to time with friends and family. Love to do some wheeling on the West Coast if the opportunity ever arose as it looks like some great country. No, haven't been to any of the comps here but will be going to a round of WEROC being held in Melbourne as a couple of the guys in the club are building buggies to run.

Hey CJ
Do you have any pics of your damaged gears? The machinist who did the work on my drive system is excellent (also did some gears for my sprint car years ago). I can have him take a look at the pics and maybe see if he can repair yours or make a set.

Zaggy thanks for the offer but the problem is I bought a front set and put them in while doing other mods to the front end and have been waiting on the matching set for the rear 'cause I was told they were only a couple of weeks away. This was back in Feb. So my optons are buy another 5.12 for the front and put that back in so I can go wheeling and wait for Calmini to place another order for some gears (they've said late summer at the earliest), try and find a set somewhere new or used(prefer new) or throw everything away and SAS it and fix my gearing in the process (not my preferred option at this moment).

i think i have an idea cj.

cz is selling his sidekick, and his rig if i'm correct only has 5.83 gears in the back, and not the front. so get ahold of him to find out if i'm correct, and see if you can work a deal.
