turbo manifold/header?
« on: January 04, 2011, 06:31:05 PM »
Does anybody know of a 16 valve turbo header or manifold for a reasonable price?
Thanks,
Kevin

The only way to do this is is stainless, a mild steel manifold
holds up fine, but begins to flake on the outside, and I don't
know if it flakes inside, it could send crap through the turbo
causing problems, or it could plug your Cat (if equipped) but
a fair price for a custom manifold, all stainless, schedule 40, all
professionally TIG welded is about $250-300

I was looking at the import stuff, found a manifold that fits
the shape requirement but it's still almost $200 and needs mods
to fit, and I have not fitted one so I'm still not sure it would be
exactly what I want under the hood

I have to agree with Wild, a stainless manifold made from sched 40 would be the best, most durable and best heat retention. His price is unbeatable too, go for it while he's still cheap! Pretty soon he'll come to his senses and double the price  :P ( that's what I would charge for a manifold like mine, $500.) Proven through mileage and time though, still workin' great 35K later and still looks good too.

That sounds very reasonable! I really thought I would be getting my SSDI in the very near future but now I'm
I'm not so sure. I really can't pass that up, maybe I can sell something to generate some quick cash. Thank you
For the generous offer and I will be in touch.

Thanks,
Kevin
