You'll want to get the late model CV ( constanty velocity ) carb and make sure you get the choke cable assembly with it or you'll have to buy one from the HD dealer. HD = hundred dollars!
The usual stuff, and 2nd generation Air to liquid intercooled TURBOCHARGER

I'd go ahead and find some late model 44mm "Screaming Eagle" CV carb. 44mm is more than enough for stock engine and if you'll happen to build your engine once then you'll have some potential with bigger bore carb. If going to be stockish than 40mm is OK.

Personally I'd go for the 44mm, thats about the same size as the stock 1.6 throttle body and the size that is commonly used for replacement carbs for the 1.3 here in the UK.

2 Rhinoman

Are those 44mm CVs expensive in UK?

How can you ask such question living in US, where you can get those carbs from "first hands"? There are plenty of people run CV setups in US.

just give dan at lowrange a call and talk to him. he has the stock 1.3 with a myside and the 44mm carb and really likes it himself which is the reason why im really getting one.

put my harley carb on today.  good low end and midrange  high rpm about the same.  made a nice diff in driveability.
made my own adapter. ported my intake. works very well. build a plate to put my weber style aircleaner on.

Nice work.  Do you have any pictures of how you did the adapter?

used the gasket for a pattern flat piece of aluminum. drilled out the holes and a hole saw for the carb.  matched the back up the weber up and mounted it on the plate.  left the aluminum long and ran some braces down to the fender for support. works good
