mmm.... 16v :P

Why wouldn't they be as good in the trail? Aren't they like 1.5' longer than the 2 door model? There're plenty of very capable 4 door kicks around here... A few that come to mind are Heather and Nate's, Whitfields (trail rig only, I think), and that one that I saw pics of with boggers (don't remember the user).

It would not be nearly as fun because there is a huge piece of steel above your head! :)  Other than that they should do fine.

HEY! My 2-door has a huge piece of steel above my head, too. :( Still in search of a (decent) 2door convertable body.

The "huge piece of steel over my head" was a reason for me not to get a four door.  But then I remembered I have a saws all.  I plan on making a pickup style vehicle out of it.  All the times I've been wheeling with samurais, I've out cornered some of them.  Surprised me, but then again I'm a hell of a driver ;)  I also got sick of putting on shows for my buddies with heeps or longer wheelbase vehicles when I had my sammy.  I love the wheelbase and interior space of my 4 door, even if the whole back is taken up by my spare.

you know what would be cool, is if someone turned a 4dr into a 2dr lwb. somehow taking a 2dr, and extending it look like a 2dr lwb convertible just like the samurai.  :)

That's pretty much what I want to end up with.  I'll seal up the rear doors and handles.  Then it'll look like a long 2 door.  With the flares on I can't open the back doors anyways.
