I would want a bullbar if I had to drive around there that is insane to say that a bullbar is the cause of injury maybe the pedestrians need to look before leaping.

Why don't they work on banning 4 wheel drive and driving off pavement at the same time?

Don't say that too loud, the same type of people who come up with this $#!t are the same ones who would be more than happy banning 4wd & any offroad vehicles... & then bikes... & then any human presence at all in any 'wilderness' area. The worst part is, they don't seem to understand: Humans... & our machines... are PART of the 'wilderness', as natural as the trees. If only we could get the few bad apples to not trash the trails, maybe we could get this point across! TREAD LIGHTLY!!
This reminds me of when Clinton closed so many trails out west... then naturally occurring wildfires started & guess what... they couldn't get the fire equipment in close enough OR use the (formerly) existing trails as firebreaks... So long millions of acres of 'wilderness'. 'Good intentions' are still paving the road to hell.

Agreed...agreed...AGREED!
Pedestrians need to WTFU (wake...up).
And the whole trail system thing that fuzzy mentioned, it's true.  So many of those nice old trails are so overgrown from non-use that even emergency response vehicles cannot access the roads.  Stupid.
And yes, if we all do our part, even cleaning up trash that isn't ours, hopefully we can make up for all the ignorant bastards who dump their trash anywhere they want.

Is it just me or has most of the people replying to this not noticed that this post is originally about Australia? Home of the Bull/Roo bar. Seems like the world seems to be getting overrun by a bad case of Californi-itus! We need to remove all the warning labels on everything, fire all the lawyers, and let Darwinism run its course! Plain and simple...

Great idea.  I think that would solve ALL the problems of the world!  Especially overpopulation and urban sprawl!

Time for manufactuers in Aussie Land to start looking into alternative protection. Diamond Plate front body panels?

Either that or try to convince those who are supporting this movement to consider if this is truely a rational, reasonable, considerable, reaction to what seems to be a small percentile of injuries.
I know the voices aren't real.... but they have some pretty kewl ideas!!! Tux.....  ;-)

This is a classic liberal/social approach to a problem, getting rid of a needed piece of
hardware, bull bars, or roo bars as I heard them called, because of people that can't
cross the street because they don't watch where they are going.

Why don't they teach kids in school and the general population how to look before
you cross the street, instead of penalizing the people that need or want bull bars for
protection from wild life, it is a real danger there, the roos are stupid, picture a rabbit
brain in a 300 pound body, they act like that
