I have a 1988 Samurai I bought and i was told it has a spring over lift on it.  In the rear the springs look to be sagging alot on each side.  And when I have people in the back and i go over a bump sumthing bottoms out in the rear like its hittin the underneth of the samurai.  I replaced my shocks and it still does it.  So i figure it has to be the leaf springs now.  I was wondering what kinda leaf springs i should replace them with and how hard it is to replace them??

Replacing the leaf springs is a pretty simple task, as long as the shackles are not rusted shut.  Even then some penetrating oil a few hours before working and you should be ok.

I went with an add-a-leaf kit instead of new springs.  I ordered a long secondary leaf from Hawk Suzuki so it wouldn't affect my ride to much but would still stop the leaves from going into a negative arch, which is rather common with a SPOA lift.  How far backwards are the springs?
