Pinion Flange Question

Pinion Flange Question

Can you switch out the small flange's on 88 center section for the large one's on a 90
both are samurai

I think they will swap over, so long as they are both 26 splines

As long as they are the same spline type, then they will interchange fine.  They are all the same spline count, it is just the spline type that may be different.  Here is some info to know what type each are...

When you swap flanges you should check the pinion bearing preload as well (which means you need to disassemble the third).  Some people don't bother to check it and are fine....others aren't....so it's up to you on what you want to do.
