aftermarket gauges in sammy

I want to install a aftermarket oil and temp gauge in my dash on my 94 samurai. Does anyone know where a good spot to tap into for the oil pressure and water temp on the engine?  Thanks Dan

There's usually a plug above the oil filter on the block that works well or you can just tee in to existing sender. Please use a copper or braided line for oil pressure instead of the plastic crap. I have watched more than one motor seize due to plastic lines breaking.

And on water gauge; mechanical or electric?

For water temperature try to find an unused port on the intake manifold - avoid putting the sensor in the radiator hose(s) - if you do, there will be no indication of temperature until the thermostat opens and coolant circulates - and if the thermostat fails shut, the engine will overheat with the gauge moving from cold.
