umm sorry to break it to you but your lift might not get their as soon as you planed it to.  Calmini is notouris(sp) for being slow with shiping.  just ask around.

Sweet Give them a call tomorrow and confirm that it was in stock. Also, when you get ready for the welding, take the extension and shifter to a muffler or fab shop, they can tack weld it in place for next to nothing.

can u get the shifter arm off while the body is in place??

in place? you mean still on the frame?  if i remember correctly you have to take the center console out and the shifts boots, the push down on a cap around the bottow of the lever and twist it.  ok the might have just confused you as much as it did me but i'm sure some one else can explane it better.   and is yours an auto?  and what about the streeing?  do you have the slip in the shaft?

i have a 5spd

on your steering shaft if you don't have a peice the can move in and out then you will need to take it out and put an extenion in it.  and i'm pretty shore you have to heat up the shifter and bent it to clear somthing.

I got my muffler in one week from Calmini.  

I got my body lift in, hmm about 8 weeks  

ok lets turn this into what mike needs to be aware of when he gets his BL thread lol

all it warned me of was the t-case extension and something else..i am gunna be kind of pissed if it gets here and theres a ton of crap i need to still get or make or whatever

i have NO metal working tools i have a shed of wood working tools however the welder and crinder and all of that is on the to do list sigh

edit- damn i have over 700 posts...gesh i need to shut up lol
i mean if i totaly have to i can buy a welder thats not a problem i just had things in order

If you have a 5 speed manual you might want to look at extending your Tranny shifter too.

The Calmini instructions say you can just bend it, but I extended both of my shifters from the bottom, and they look a lot cleane, plus they fit like stock.

Its easy to do. Zip cut the shafts just above the base that plugs into the trans/T-case then weld in the 3" rod

Make sure you are careful removing the secondary boot on the tranny shifter, it rips pretty easy.

Also make sure when you weld the shifter back together that it lines up straight.  The base will only fit into the tranny one way, so if you weld the handle on the wrong way your shifter will be twisted

Oh ya, about the steering extender.

There are two types of steering shafts that came in sidekicks/trackers.

One is made up of two straight shafts that are connected by a rubber dampener.

The other has a slip joint in the center of the shaft.

If your truck has the slip joint steering shaft, then its as simple as taking out the pin that holds the shaft together, then slipping the shaft to the needed length and welding or bolting it into position.

If your truck doesn’t have a slip joint steering shaft. then you will have to make a metal extension piece to replace the rubber dampener which is mentioned in the instructions.
