jeffs kit mustang shocks

I will be ordering Jeffs kit Friday You dont see many lifted trackers in ont. where I live Think I might start something lol. I want to order the mutang shocks so they are here when the kit arrives any input would be appreciated on shocke V6 V8 car etc. I think Im supposed to use 1995 justalso wondering will it soften the ride I kind of like the stiffer suspension as I tend to carry some wieght around Thanks Awsome site here.

i have an '89 kick. i used mustang shocks w/jeff's pucks for a couple of seasons.
they worked well, but i didn't lower the bump stops- i ended up blowing them. probably because they became the bump stops.......
i have since changed things and am using ford f150 shocks now.
i got my shocks by spec. from the monroe(i'm cheap) catalog for comp./exten. lengths and mount type.
sorry i don't remember the mustang shock number.
modify your bump stops!

'89 kick w/little motor, still got pieces of jeff's pucks, stan's sticks into 4.24:1 tcase, 31x10.5x15's, rear lockrite, kick power steering, some radios(kj6esv), bmw seat, other changes just because. done on the cheap.

Jeff's kit comes with a full listing of shocks by make and model numbers as I remember. I believe the most popular choices are Mustang and Cavaliar and 1 other that I can't recall. Modifing the bump stops is a must unless you like changing struts.

Ok quick additional question here.  If you run OME springs and shocks/struts do you also have to adjust the bump stops or is there enough travel for them to work correctly as is?

where abouts in ontario are you? i have jeffs kit as well and am about to put it on 1 of my 2 kicks...Im in the GTA but often travel to london as well...

I believe its Crown Vic shocks also. When I did mine I used Cavalier shocks, they are a little longer than the Crown Vic's.

I think i used the crown vic shocks also. I havnt had any problems with it, a little stiff on the street but nice off road.

I used the standard kyb GR2 1995 mustang rear shocks.  You dont have to modify the bottom like you do with the crown vic shocks.  The only thing I had to do was trim the rubber part that is at the top of the shock as it seems the Mustand has a bigger hole for it to go through.

btw, I just finished doing a write up on installing Jeff's kit in the "Build Diaries, How-To, DIY" section that might be of help in getting ready.

I went this route (although they are softer shocks where you probably want slightly stiffer).
