Check out the article in Petersens Mag (also a thread here) on the 1,500 Sami. It has info on a budget lift, wheels (stock) and shocks.  The only info I would add is on the wheels, you can get nice black rockcrawlers that are 5 on 5.5 with a 2" back space from Four Wheel Parts for $39 per wheel. :D

I'm still running zuk springs on mine, so I can't help there, but I am running Doetsch Tech shocks, and they work really well.

ya definetly relocate your mirror, i only relocated my drivers side one cause i think thats all u need to be legal
i just rebolted it right infront of the door, and filled in the old holes with jb weld

how bout a homemade shackle lift, you can fit the rear springs in the front that way with no other mods

and apparently some chevy 5bolt rims bolt right on and are proper width and backspace? mine came with them, but i've heard from a few people thats where theyre from.

im not a fan of bodylifts really on sami's cause theyre easy to lift with suspension, but you could do one of those for cheap/free as well

well we will be running custom hangers and shackles to hang are jeep springs and sammy rear up front.  do i use the front or rear springs to put in the rear of my sammy?  the only resone we are putting a lift it for oil pan clearance.  and i kinda rides ruff(thats under statement) so i am hoping that this will help.  but if it doesn't then its getting coils all the way around.

If you go S.P.O.A you will gain 4 to 5 inches in lift depending on your pad profile. Also if you plan on larger tires later you might consider moving your pad locating holes foward about 1 inch(keeps you from hearing that nasty rubbing sound in tight cornering) good luck MUTANT ZUK
