Hey everyone, just wondering what tires are out there for me. The funny thing is I have a spare cover and have never looked under it since I bought my Zuke. Sure enough I look today and I find a Bridgestone Desert Dueler. My tires that I have on now are Stampede Radial A/S (getting real worn), obviously different from my spare. From what I remember the guy I bought it off of this is the second set of tires this truck has had in its 13 years on the road .  



I am looking into buying a new set of tires SOON and I was hoping to get some advice. Since my Sidekick is all stock, what are my options here? I want a good all-season for now (since my lift isn't being installed for a while). I drive quite a bit on the road (more so than off), but I want the ability to be reasonably safe off-road. Like anything, I'm into quality and affordability. Any info, comments or questions are EXTREMELY welcome!! Thnaks everyone!

Oh yeah, now that I've started the topic one more thing.

I'm putting in a Calmini 2" suspension lift and a 3" body lift (probably near Dec.). What is the best tire to go with on this set up? Price won't matter, but one hang-up is that my Kick does a bit of highway driving so I don't want anything that compromises that too much!

You'll be able to go with a bigger tire after you do the lift. I'd wait till it's lifted if you can or at least do the body lift as that's not too expensive and it will get you better tire clearance.

With that lift, you could probably run 31's with a bit of trimming... I also agree with CJ that you should wait until you lift it to get the new tires... kinda seems like a waste to get stock or slightly larger tires if they're just gonna be replaced shortly anyway.

If you need tires right away, get used ones.  I needed new tires on my kick when I first got it.  I found a set of 30x9.50 MTRs for a good deal in the local buyand sell.  Once I got the lift I actually sold them for a profit.  Just make sure the tires are good before you put your money down.

The original tires on my 91 4-door, 92 4-door, and both my 95 4-doors were Bridgestone Dueler H/T's.  I swapped tem out for Dueler A/T's, and run 'em year round on my daily driver.

Believe me, your Kick will look LAME with factory meats on it, after you lift it.  Here's what I mean - a before and after shot with factory wheels and tires, on my 2-door.

The best all-purpose on-road, off-road tire is, IMO, the BFG All Terrain T/A KO. It has a severe snow conditions rating which is important up here in Canada. It's a light truck tire and will last a long time.

i wouldn't go off road with that tire.  i have seen them turn into  ball of mud real quick.  i would go with the M/ts if i wanted a BFG.

I'm running (well, putting on today) 36" Iroks on my Tracker...with the 6" Calmini lift. They look 10x better than the 32x9.50 pizza cutters I had on it previously.

It would be so cool to see a side shot of the Tracker on the 36's. Even with a little flex.....
