I am thinking about building an auxiliary fuel tank that sits behind my back seat in a '93 4 dr kick. The dimensions will be 42" x 20" x 8" and it will hold 29 gallons. If I were to build a few extras would anyone want to place an order for them? They will be built out of steel, have baffles and I can get them professionally coated with gas tank liner. I'm not planning to do any in tank pump or sender unit. I'm going to rig mine up so that when the stock fuel door is opened there will be two filler holes, one for the stock tank and one for the new tank. I will use gravity to fill my stock tank with a hard plumbed line and valve. If I was to sell these you would have to do all your own install and would probably need some basic fab skills to hook the new tank up to your stock filler area. I think that I would be able to build one for about $275, more if you want it lined plus shipping if you can't pick it up in the Salem portland area.
