Now the bad news: my $5.00 junk yard CB radio that I took on the trip did not work so well. It needs a tune up on the sideband frequencies, nothing but a squealing pig sound! Life is hard.  

I had that issue, ends up the problem was not waiting long enough for the CB to dry out from power washing the interior.

Uh, which vendors would that be?  Any pics of the final product?  Also, have you thought about making a white top?  I think even the white bikinis are substantially cooler than the black ones.

Regarding white, the ambient glare inside is pretty bright. It probably is cooler that black but they say "black is beautiful".

The tops will be in all black at this time. We are producing them as fast as we can.

Why not Tan tops? Solves the white problem and the black problem. Black in the Desert isn't fun.

Tan sounds like a good idea, I will check it out. I have to buy a large quantity of Cordura each time and I want to make sure it sells. You never know.

Any thoughts from other people on tan?

Not right now, perhaps over the fall/winter I could come up with something. I do not have Sidekick to fit with right now. Thanks for the interest.

No, the Bikini's do not have the rear down sloped part that the Fastback has.

That is two votes for tan. 

I would do a tan one. My Zuki is tan and black so I think it would look good and not get as hot as the black ones tend to. I DD my Zuki and stop and go on black top in 90+ temps gets old fast.
