Tracker distributor and rotor question???
« on: July 09, 2011, 07:35:54 PM »
Hey guys, just had to put a reman distributor in my 98 tracker 16valve (igniter death), when i ordered it there were two options, either .475, or .526 rotor cam. the dissy that came out of my tracker was .526 measured with calipers so thats what i ordered... i got the new distributor today and its the .475???  there is a piece of paper that came with it explaining that it is the exact same distributor and i just have to get the correct size rotor.   only problem is i don't know what models/years came with the .475 rotor cam... so i don't know what rotor to order... all searches they do at checker/auto-zone come up with the same number for the rotor i have now. (which will go on the .475 dissy, but feels loose, and will go on 3 different ways) any help is appreciated.

i should add that when i say "rotor cam", i am talking about the actual triangular piece with rounded corners that the rotor slips onto inside the distributor... and the mesurements (.475 and .526) are inches and are measured from the long flat side of rotor cam to the opposite side

The 1.6L 16v should share a distributor between all the ODBC II models, are you sure it wasn't checking to see if you had the 1.8l from the sports?
