Super-clean Samurai at Warn
« on: August 09, 2011, 04:01:46 PM »
Our local Snap-On Tools rep, Bill, stopped by in his super-clean '87 Samurai. He said it had been out rotting away in a field, full of garbage. He's been restoring it, and it's in great shape. Not even a repaint, just a bunch of polshing.

He's got a 2" Calmini lift on it, 235s, a nice custom stereo, and did a really clean install of WARN WXT200-S spot lights. These are actually a powersports light, but they look really at home on a Sammi.

Acura Integra seats, new carpeting

Anyway, just wanted to share.

- Andy

Looks good.  I like the use of the hinge mount for the spot light.

Looks like a 1987 dealer "Promo Pic" !
The only give-a-way is the tires/rims & the "Take Down Spots" !!

Nice product placement "Tire Cover" TOO !!

Someone needs to be kicked right square in the nuts, for letting a samurai that nice just sit in a field. ::)
At least someone saved it before it turned into a big rust heap. :)
Tracker and Sidekick parts for sale.....PM me with your wants/needs.

Nice, clean, mild build.  I like! 8)

I've actually rescued several of them out of fields.  One was just as clean as that one when I first got it.
35 years of Samurai ownership, and I still have my very first one. :)

We sell WXT200-S sell for $248.00 on our site, but you can find them for about $180 on amazon and other reatilers. They're very nice units, too. Forged aluminum housings, through-post wiring, stainless hardware, etc.

I asked the same thing! It was off of his RV; he put it on as a bit of humor.  ;D

imagine my surprise I'm looking through the posts and BAM! there's my rig in big beautiful pictures. I was over at Warn seeing Chad, old time customer and Friend, this was the first time he had seen my Sammy, I had been talking about it for quite a while. He told me of a co worker (Andy) that liked samurai's and called him down to look at it and he took the pic's and we talked about it for a while. I did find the rig sitting in a field up in Mossy Rock WA. I was told it been sitting there for 4yrs, It was pretty nasty and full of moss water and garbage I was able to make it run but it was real noisy and the clutch was bad and the brakes were non-existant, what a mess I just had to have it! so we went back up the next day with a trailer and brought it home. all of the work minus the Eng. machine work was done in my garage. there was lots of clean up. I tried to use as many used parts as possible, bought a lot of stuff From William down at Hawk just north of Grants Pass Or. I get down that way a lot because of my job so I was hauling parts home all the time. I also used Gladstone Suzuki a lot they are great! I've always been into old ford trucks and mustangs but I love this little rig and others seem to like it also. every where we take it people want to look at it and talk about it. Thanks for all the great feed back, and trust me it has no Banks power, but you never know? I will try and load the beginning pic's soon, still trying to figure out how. Bill
