They sold it!!!!
« on: May 18, 2004, 02:17:37 AM »
Well the 97 I was going to buy got sold.  :'(

My very wonderful wife went to the car lot Monday afternoon to buy it for me.  Some old man got there before her and bought it.  Probably going to tow it behind a f***ing motorhome!  >:(

It has been sitting for at least 2 months and the day I am suposed to get it, it's gone!

Time to start a new hunt!

I almost lost mine that way.

Finally made the desition to buy it and when we got there it was gone.  Someone else had tagged it...

So I left my name and told the sales person to give me a call if it fell throw.

Well it did and I got it!!!  The rest is history.

Also, mine is going to be pulled behind a motor home.   ;D

Lets see, pulled to the Badlands, next year to gon zookin,  and where ever else theres wheeling to be done.

Been looking through all of them NY.

They are hard to find in Kansas.  Even in Kansas City.

There just aren't a lot of them in this area.

Kansas City. I'm here.

I missed out going to a tow lot last Saturday (daughter's soccer) for a 92 Sidekick. Did a drive the day before and didn't see it behind the fence. There is another tow lot auction coming up soon and there is a 93 Tracker. I'll be going to that one.

BTW, have you approached a Suzuki dealership? A lot of owners will replace their older vehicle with a newer one. You could buy from the owner directly. For example, I missed out by about an hour on a 88 Sami. Owner got $75 for it in trade. Dealership wanted $800 to sell it to me as is. Rear going flat tire, torn top, ripped seats, garbage throughout inside, 150k miles, bad throwout bearing, nonworking radio, little rust through here/there at the seams, etc. $75 would be a fine buy, but $800!!!! I offered $200 and they didn't take it. That was about 9 months ago.

I thought you lived around here somewhere jagular.

I saw that you have been to Kansas Rocks.  I haven't been there, I go to Randolph ORV park.  I want to make to Ks. Rocks sometime this summer.

I e-mailed a guy in KC about a Tracker and haven't heard back from him.  Must not want to sell it very bad. ;D ;D

I found a very clean 96 in St. Louis, but that's about 6 hours from where I live!  :o  May be worth the drive.

I am still looking though.  I haven't gotten discouraged yet!

I'm on the BOD. I'll be there Memorial Weekend (Sunday/Monday) working the park, as well as 6/19-20 (IIRC). I'll have on the coil spacer lift by then (taking off Thurs, already have Fri off for a 4-day weekend). Don't know if I'll have the tires though.

If he's local, let me know and I'll help you check it out.

It's a little distance, but see if they could send pics. Then talk to them about cost. Offer something over the phone to see if they will take it. Say they want $1000, talk to them about $750 and would they be interested. Then if so, bring only that amount with you. if not, you've saved gas!!!

I used to work at the junction of K-7 and K-10.  Honeywell plant.  The comute was just not worth it.  Now that gas is 2 bucks a gallon I'm very glad I got a new job! :D :D

Thank you for the offer of checking out vehicles for me.  I am only about 60 miles from KC so it's not a big deal to go up there and look around.

I found the one in St louis on autotrader.  There is a pic and it looks good.  May have to do a road trip!

Are you going to the Badlands over July 9-10?   I am hoping to go then.

Don't limit yourself!  I found the Gnewt in DALLAS, on ebay.  Flew down one way, and drove it home.
