Moving!!
« on: May 16, 2004, 01:01:29 PM »
We've bought a new house!  Now we have to do all those summer "house" projects in a couple of days/weeks.

Doesn't leave much time for the tracker or wheeling.

BUT, I'm going to have a new 30 X 40 pole barn and 3.5 acars to play on.

Besides, I can't get any parts from anyone.  Can get the anvil from calimini and I've ordered a new steel 3rd member for the front and they seem to be on back order.

At least I've got the new set of front gears.  I might just put the alum. front end back together untill I get all the right parts together.

Who knows, that might not be untill a few more months.

A different house is a PITA to move into. The warden usually wants paint on the walls. Holes filled, ceilings to walls edged correctly, pop-outs corrected, new shower heads to her liking, trim painted rather than stained, crown molding in special areas, entertainment center relocated to opposite side of room, phone same, house carpets washed and cleaned, etc. etc. etc. Too much little work, sort of like cleaning the underside of the -7........nevermind the things you got to do before you go from the house you're in already....

then the kids are no help......

Congrats on the house!!!!
Damn I'm glad I'm single. It was a simple as find a garage I liked, make shure it had a house in front of it to sleep in, pile my stuff in a truck and move in ;D I've never understood searching for the "perfect house" then change everything before you move in (or shortly after). Women, I'll never understand them :P

Well this is a new build.  So most of the work will be decorating and that will be my wife work.  ;D

One reason were moving is that Mary (my wife) wants to be able to park in the garage???

I told her that the only way that's going to happen is if I get a barn.  ;D

Cool 8) I had alot of my friends tell me to get a new build house, but I'm not that creative. Most of the new builds in my area, get it to finishing stage, get a contract on it, then finish it out how the new owner wants it. I couldn't pick out carpet, paint, cabinets etc... if I tried :P So I bought a house that I knew I liked and moved in ;D

I know what you mean.  My wife is lost in all the choices she has for the house.  She almost wishes they would just complete it and then she can change it later.

I do have an opion on house hold stuff, but when it come down to it I let her pick out the colors and such.  That way I'm not blaimed in the end.

The house stuff has really cut into my Zuki board time...

I'll be glad when it's all over and things can get somewhat back to normal.

Congrats on the House.  Got a shed too.  Now you just have to fill it up with more toys.

We bought a Farmsite a few years ago, and it had  a 60x120' shed on it, and I am doing my best to fill it up.  I am only about 1/3 Full.
