When I whacked an 8 pointer and couldn't find a hood for a while, I just laid mine on the ground and stomped it back into roughly the right shape. Take the hood latch off and bolt the hood back on the truck. Then I unscrewed the rubber stops and replaced them with a long bolt and cut the bolt heads off to make them into studs. I drilled holes in the hood at the stud locations so they passed through the hood. Then I put big washers on top, drilled a hole in the stud and put a spring clip through the stud to hold the hood closed. It was like the hood pin kits that hot rodders used back in the '60's. It got me through the winter until I found another hood...
