You'll probably have to fabricate your own brackets since the Sidekick alternator is pretty small...

i just wish someone would figure out an alt that could just be 'droped' in with no bracket or pulley mods!  i think it will become my summer quest :-/  if someone would make one i would be the first in line with a lil $$$.  i know they make a braket for GM alts in a Sami...

about your alt, is that the stock output amp or has it been modified to reach that.  the auto el. place here says to stay away from upgraded ones cause they burn out real fast.  good luck!

Roadless gear also makes a GM alt bracket. STAY AWAY FROM IT!! I had one snap in half last weekend while on my 3.5 hour trip to the beach!! Luckily I was close to a friends house and we ended up making a new one from scratch. Took us 3.5 hours to get it all back together :-/ So what was a 3 hour trip turned into a 7 hour trip >:( I sent them an e-mail telling them about it breaking and this is what I get back. They NEVER once offered to replace it or send me a new one. Now that's great service ::)

I have forwarded your email on to the guy who makes these brackets for me.   I am getting low on these so I am hoping this feedback will help remind him to double check his work better before I place my next order of 100 brackets through him.  On the up side - this is the first failure like this I have heard about so it seems the vast majority of his work is up to spec.  This may have been one that slipped through the cracks.  I will also inspect the remaining inventory for potential problems.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

i read somewhere that when a guy put on an alt aout of a cutlass or something that he had to remove and use his stock pully for the belt, but that he had to have the ID machined to fit the shaft on the cutlass one.  so you might run into this ???  seems kinda iffy, and if it dont fit then you got to find another stock pully....  but i am dying to hear how this all turns out! ;D

Now that's great service
that sucks, that seems to happen alot with small aftermarket suppliers.

i thought the TrailTough and Roadless ones were for a Sami?
