Rally X-90
« on: May 03, 2004, 11:48:40 PM »
I went to the Southern Trail Fest this weekend. My Kick was waiting on parts :'( so I decided to take the X-90 for some mild trails on Saturday :-/. I ended up blasting up and down the mountain Rally Style for most of the day  8) It handeled the gravel and dirt roads almost flawlessly ;)  My favoriate part of the day was catching up to packs of ATV's and passing them ;D  It's usually me letting the ATV's by and eating their dust for a while >:( It was priceless to see the looks on their face when an X-90 pulls up behind them, waves to pass and then drifts the next couple of corners blasting on up the mountain ;D  I did re-align it and knock a wheel out of balance :'(  But it was well worth the fun :)

An "X" is a Sidekick with a "sporty" body.

Lift it, lock it, Gear it, and Wheel the snot out of it!

Already lifted ;D (Calmini 2" suspension) 8)
But not Locked and/or had the snot wheeled out of it, YET ::) It's my 1000 mile a week commute vehicle. So I'll keep  wheeling the snot out of the Kick untill I run more miles up on it ;) (125,000 and climbing quick)

I am kicking the idea around of getting one this summer.
Ride? any issues other than normal trac/kick ones?

I love it for daily driving. I drive at 80-85 to and from work every day and it drives and rides fine at those speeds. It actually rides and handles better than my 2wd Tracker (maybe from the lower body style :-/). The only down fall I could see would be small 2 seater cabin and small trunk. (But it's perfect for me ;))

Most of the KIck/Tracker Mods bolt right on. I have my old Calmini 2" lift off of my Kick on it and plan on a body lift soon.

Here is a pic when I bought it

And here it is now (2" suspension, 1.5" wheel spacers and a little bit bigger tire)

My only worry is that I realy dont want to cut on the body. It's in damn near perfect condition so I have reservations on cutting the finders. On the other hand I want to go bigger. I could do 5.12 r&p's and 30's (with some trimming and body lift) and still bust down the interstate at 80-85 like I do now. Who knows? My crapy Cooper tires are almost in need of replacing, so I better make up my mind soon.

My daughter wants an X-90. I showed her a pic of an X-90 with a lot of lift and 33's. She said it was cool but she would want it higher and with bigger tires...she's 10 ;) She also said that if we can't find one for her then she would be OK with me giving her my Sunrunner...as long as it is lifted with big tires by then...that gives me about 5 years to find one or get mine done up LOL  ;D
