I have an all stock sammi and wanted to know about an aftermarket air filter... i see some picks with a cold air looking filter and they took all the stock filter pieces out with just a filter off the carb.

I want to know whether i can just rip out all the stock filter equipment and just put a filter on or not.

I understand that there are some other hoses attctched to the stock air filter... looks like some vacumm hoses.

What would i have to do to get rid of this stock system and go with the more basic system?
