well either my passenger side axle shaft is broken, a ring and pinion problem, or something else but something is DEFINITELY wrong so I'm going to disassemble tge rear axle this weekend to see what's it is, I have a strong feeling its an axle shaft

after I open it up what should I replace? obviously gaskets and gear oil and check the brakes, but what else? this is my first time opening up an axle and I am going to sand and paint the housing and parts of my suspension while everything is pulled out

Sami or Sidekick ? front or rear ? you will need to get the inner oil seal on both sides for sure, be careful not to let the axles ride on the seal when you put them back into the housing.
