Hawk ?
« on: November 29, 2011, 11:06:11 AM »
Not sure where to post this. This is not a bash in any way, very nice and helpfull people. Does anyone know what's going on with Hawk Suzuki, I've been tying to get ahold of them about a order I placed a couple weeks ago but no one has been answering the phone, voice mail box is full. I tried email but no response.

Again not a bash just trying to get some info.

it may be that you have tried to contact them during the holidays.  Give them another day or two

I understand the holiday thing but thanksgiving was last Thursday, there is nothing on their site or voice mail that says "closed for the week of and after thanksgiving". I guess no one really knows what's up. Ill just have to wait it out.

Wow thats terrible.  They didn't ship my last order for two weeks in august so I called and they refunded my money.  I thought that was strange as they have always been good to me...

I was having a hard time finding some hardware for my rear quarter window, I called them and they where supposed to send me 2 sets for less then half of what another salvage yard wanted for 1. She didn't say anything about going out of business. Damn it, the search is on again. Hmm, do I contact my bank to get my $5 back, I just want the parts.

I have nothing to do with Hawk.  But I can say the decision to close a business never comes easy, and often when the decision is made, that is also the effective date and time of closure. It is very possible the employees didn't know.  That was why they never gave any indication. I had to help close a business several years ago when a family member passed away. Talk about no warning, and the people (me) handling the shut down had no clue. From my experience, I would suggest if you have legetimate open business with Hawk, create a letter and mail it to thier mailing address. Stick to the facts. Getting emotional will only cause more stress and might move your business to the bottom of the pile.  It is quite possible the person handling the shut down may need all the details availible.  If they were a reputable business before the desicion, they will very likley do the best they can to do the right thing after the decision.

It's good to hear that there might be a chance, maybe, that they will continue business. Still messed up that they are just ignoring existing customers and unfulfilled shipments, or maybe I'm the only one. If you see them tell them to call me lol.
