I have seen several post on the VW diesel swap, & was wondering if anyone has though about a Isuzu 4cyl. turbo NPR diesel out of the small delivery cabover trucks.  I see then all the time on the city streets & they pass me like I am standing still, I tried to follow one getting on the freeway the other day, & he left me in the dust...... It's a jap motor, so I would think it would be a easier swap then a German VW.  This is just a curiosity question......Any input

Well, here is a little I found on it;

The NPR ECO-MAX is powered by the next-generation Isuzu 4JJ1-TC diesel engine:

    3.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
        150 horsepower
        282 lbs.-ft. torque
        2010 EPA and CARB OBD compliant

I like the numbers, but the electronics would have to be custom.

It also looks to be in the Colorado in Australia with a 5spd and auto called the D-Max ( I like that)

So being carb OBDII compliant it might even be OK in Kalifornia
