Who made this bumper?
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:29:21 PM »

Bought this used yesterday thinking it was a trailtough bumper... Now that I look it obviously isn't the one I thought.

Any ideas?  It mounts with the lower bolt holes connecting to the calmini truss that links the front mounting point of the a arms.

It also buts up against the frame on the other two mounting points, the kids rig it was on had the frame cut to allow the tube to slip into the boxed frame.  Obviously this is a no go for me, fabbing a better mount with plate.

Just wanna know who made it.

That many views and no ideas?

Built for a 2 inch body lift, which I don't have, more modifications needed.

It looks like a custom job to me.  Someone probably just made it up in their garage.

I kind of thought that, but the bends are just too clean and symmetrical for me to think it's a homejob.

There was a user on here that emailed me a few years ago to get detailed pics of my old bumper so he could build one. I dont remember who it was but their build came out real clean and looked a lot like yours. Probably a custom build.

After welding it all on today I realized you're right, the stinger is .25 inches lower on the left side than the right.

Too late to whine about it now.  Bolted and welded it on.  Still get to rework the bottom mounts to hit the calmini brace, should work though
