Topless headache
« on: April 18, 2004, 10:03:39 AM »
When I drive my 90, or an 02 that I rented last year, with the top open in back I get a really bad headache.  It seems that if I have the back end open I get this headache.  Yesterday I had the top completely off and windows open.  I wouldn't think that exhaust would do that with the top comletely removed.  When I have driven with the top closed or with the front flipped back I haven't noticed a problem.

Hrm... trade me Trackers :) (I keep the suspension stuff, and bumpers and tires :D)

Do you get a headache with your windows down? Maybe it's just the increased amount of wind pressure that is around your head with the back part of the top off? I dunno.

Same problem here. If you drive with the back window out and the top open or the side windows down,  it should create a through flow of air and not allow the Exhuast to come back.

How is your exhaust routed out the back? I know with a sammy, if the exhaust goes straight out the back it will suck fumes bad! But  if it kicks out to the side, or even at an angle, you'll be just fine. Try that and let me know.
Hope that helps.

I was thinking it was that. My Exhaust goes straight out the back.  Never had that problem with the stock exhaust location. Guess I'll have to reroute it some how :-/

Mine is routed diagonally through the hole in the bumper behind the rear tire.
