Looking at putting a Calmini lift 3" on an X-90 along with a 2" body lift? Any one know why their 3" body wiill not work on an X-90.
 They share the same suspension but not body. Seems to me that the two inch must use the same location for blocks as the three inch. They tell me at Calmini that the 3" body will not work Curious is all..

Not sure, but, I would bet it has something to do with the body mounts and attachments to the body (fuel filler hose, steering, etc). I have seen X's with the 3+3 lift, so it is possible to do, just probably not bolt on. They advertise their stuff as bolt on, so if any additional mod's are required, they will say it 'wont work'....

BTW, I had that kit on my kick for years and LOVED it!!!!

Our 3" suspension will install without any issues as well as our 2".  The main differences on the body lift would be bumper relocation brackets.  The mount points themselves and the blocks can be used in our 3" body lift kit.  We do not offer a 2" body lift kit to comment on fitment.

Yeah a\lthough the body kit requires some welding though which they don't mention.
I know a couple of people who have run the 3" suspension lift on the X90, the rear springs are a bit hard for the X90, otherwise it all seems to fit OK. You may also need to mess around with the mounting on the rear upper A-arm. The first guy to fit a Calmini kit on an X90 had the thread pull out and the axle rotate and do some damage. Don't let me put you off though set up right it was a good piece of kit. I'm happy with the 3" suspension lift on my Vit too although I would go for a better quality different bodylift.

How did the thread pull out? Did the lock nut back off and allow it to move? Just curious because I ran a 3" lift for well over 100K on the same upper joint with no issues (on a Kick) and that thing took a beating.

I have also seen one that the threads had pulled out and it looked like the nut had come loose and it started working loose , the lift kit should be inspected and make sure that everything is staying tight .

I think that the issue was that the geometry was slightly different so when the axle was set up at the recommnded angle there weren't enough threads holding the upper joint in. I've never had a problem either but I made sure that mine was well screwed in.

YES I AGREE THEY AREN'T THREADED IN VERY FAR , WHEN I FABED THE JIG UP TO BUILD MY UPPER ARMS I ADDED LENGHT TO IT 1/2" MORE TO INSURE THAT IT IS SCREWED IN ALMOST ALL THE WAY WITH A JAM NUT.

Now over 10,000 miles, 3 years, unmodified Calmini 3" susp. kit.  Lots of on-road/still a significant amount off-road...
So far, so good, does everything I've expected of it so far. 
My 3rd link heim joint/rod end has not pulled out.  I keep a close eye on that and everything else by being very in-tune with the vehicle and also inspecting it often (being meticulous with vehicle repair/maintenance issues means that you can rely on it to get you to BFE and back).
Only complaint is it rattles my teeth sometimes because the City of Fresno, CA can't get their budget set to include road maintenance...it's atrocious.
And the rear springs won't handle a whole lot of weight.  Not a design flaw, really, because the entire car isn't meant to handle a whole lot of weight either.  My solution (since I decided to carry the weight anyways) was air bags.  With 10lbs air and a little weight (tools, etc) in the back I find it's much more comfortable.

Glad I went with the AE lift. The upper third link is beefier and uses a substantially larger creeper joint than a heim joint.
