My Rabbit diesel is supposed to need a Suzuki starter to put on the Tracker bell housing because of the Tracker ring installed on the VW flywheel. The standard Tracker starter is n't supposed to be strong enough and I was told that the starter to get was one from a Geo Storm or from an Isuzu Impulse,either from the years '91-'93 and either from an  a/t . These starters have reduction gearing that will handle the diesel. Impulses are not easily found so I settled on a Storm starter. I had two options I wasn't prepared for though. There were starters from a SOHC and a DOHC engine and I had never heard which of those were supposed to be used. I got the DOHC starter and hope it is the one . Does anybody have any input on this?    Ken
