I have a friend with a 88 samauri 1.3  engine ,  can you remove the oil pan without removing the motor? if so how?....James

Some one else who has done it can talk you through it but the answer to your question is yes, it can be done without engine removal. I think once you raise the vehicle it gives you enough room to lower the pan, after it is lowered some you then remove the oil pickup tube bolts and then can completely remove the pan.
