Good Deal on this Samurai?

Here is the ad:

Great reliable daily driver. I drive it 60 miles round trip every day. 86k original miles. Engine was rebuilt 25-30K ago along with new clutch, alternator, and starter. Top is due to be replaced. About $150 new. No rust. Clear coat on hood is peeling a bit, but its 26 years old. Kenwood cd player with ipod hook up, cb radio, good spare tire, webber carb. Tires are 70-75% tread. It has been a great little rig and will hate to see it go.
$3250.00 obo

I spoke to the owner, he's owned it for 8 months. The guy before him did the rebuild but there is no paperwork or receipts. Also 86k original miles, I'd say, is OBVIOUSLY 186k if not 286k because who rebuilds an engine that has 55k miles on it unless there is a problem?  But it looks pretty clean an stock (which is what I'm after).

Any advice if I go look at this rig?

Thanks

I agree with a just a guess at most-likely having more orig. miles. I would be curious why It needed to be rebuilt with that low of mileage? What was actually done? I always like asking specifics in person just to pick up on body language.  "Why are you selling it?" "Has it been in the mud?" and other questions will give you better feedback when you can see the reactions face to face.

I am always skeptical when I buy anything used... esp. a vehicle.  I always offer lower than asking too.  Worst they can say is no.
