I wonder if it would work to take a piece of thin aluminum and put it in the brake to give it a lip, then bend that piece around the fender.

I'm going to try it with a piece of scrap next time I'm at my uncle’s shop.

If it works I'll make four of them and paint them black.

Can Trail Toughs flares hold up to being mashed flat numerous times? I constantly use my wheels as extensions of my sliders (slide them along an obsticle untill the sliders hit and hold me off of it) I would like to do flares but dont know if they would hold up with my driving style.

The arches shown were fitted as OE by Suzuki on the 'wideboy' models. They cover an 8" rin with less backspacing than stock. There is a wider version that was fitted to the 'fatboy' models that will easily cover a 33x12.5.
Over here plastic truck arches are quite often used on Sammis and 413s, they are cheap and easily cut to the correct width. I used some on my 410 buggy. They would most probably work on a Kick too.

They're Bushwacker flares.  Surprise!  Glenn Wakefield has finally talked Bushwacker into selling them to him, too - they're in the Samurai section of RRO's web site.

The thing that really sucks, is that they're just the rear flares off a Wrangler, but do you think you can buy "just the rear Wrangler flares" from Bushwacker, and cut out the middle man?  Noooooo...

I've found some 2 & 3/4" flares for a 5dr and 3" flares for a 3dr in Italy. This is better coverage for wider rubber.

My biggest problem is with the front. I've already cut the finders back alot and can not find any that fit. I'll just have to keep looking till I do.

for $25nz i got a five meter role of black garden edging 100mm wide , cut it to length , riveted it on, done.

So, let's see - we have to convert $25NZ - OK, that's about $10.72 US, and 5 M = 16 feet, 4-27/32 inches, and 100mm = 3-15/16 inches, so thats pretty cheap!  But it's also kinda UGLY...  (like my rig is a freaking beauty queen, eh?)

I've got a set of the bushwacker 6" extended flares.  I mounted on side on my 4 door kick with 35x14.50 boggers but they stuck out to far for mydriving style and where I wheel.  So I went back to the stock yj flares.  Not as much coverage but I wont lose them on any trees.  My extended ones are for sale.  I have all the hardware and they are like new.  Let me know if anyone is interested.
