Parting out a complete 1993 Suzuki Sidekick
« on: June 18, 2012, 09:02:24 PM »
EVERYTHING IS SOLD.  I NO LONGER HAVE ANY PARTS FROM THIS SIDEKICK

I just picked up this 1993 sidekick; I am keeping the engine, ECU, and wiring harness.  Everything else is up for grabs.  I will be parting it out until sometime in July (maybe early August).  Then it gets crushed by my Deuce, and cut apart with the Jaws for fire department training.
It is located at my shop on hwy 26 about an hour west of Portland.  I do drive into Portland every few weeks and could bring something with me if necessary.
As far as prices; look up whatever it is that you want on car-part.com.  Find the cheapest advertised price for a part in similar condition, and I'll come in a few $$ under that price.  For the stuff that can't be looked up, make me a fair offer.

Here are the details:
1993 Sidekick JX 2 dr
140k on the odometer (although it was towed behind a motorhome for an unknown number of miles)
Automatic transmission
stock transfer case
stock axles/gears 4.62:1

Parts that have been sold and are no longer available:
cigarette lighter
pioneer stereo
hard top
soft top
mirrors
ash tray
vents
radio/dash bezel
tailgate
antenna
interior door handles
both headlights
driver side fender and skirt
sun visors
spare tire cover
shocks
struts
front seats
tires and wheels
center console
automatic shift lever assembly
window regulators (both sides)
mud flaps
rear seats
hood
hood hinges
emergency brake cables (both sides)
power steering box, pump, and lines
warn hubs (automatic hubs are still available)
battery
gas tank, fuel pump, level sending unit

Parts that I have been asked to come up with prices for (that are still available):
front doors (minus window regulators, handles, etc.):  $40 each
front bumper cover and frame: $45
rear bumper cover and frame: $45
grille: $40
rear seat belts: $30 each
complete rear axle w/4.62 gears: $150
complete front axle assembly w/4.62 gears: $150
CV shafts: $30 each
3 speed automatic transmission with torque converter: $250
transfer case: $100
driver and passenger window glass (already removed from doors): $30 each

The hood, front and rear bumpers, grill, all light lenses, driver side door, and passenger front fender are all in good shape.  The passenger side door has some minor damage near the back; probably fixable.  Still closes fine; it isn't tweaked or anything.
The interior is complete and in good shape; no evidence of smoking, pets, or misuse.  All of the seats are there and the covers are in good shape.

If you're interested in something, send me a PM; I'll get back to you fairly quickly.
Everything is cash only (although I may consider something cool in trade...chickens, antique engines, pinball machines, etc.)
Thanks for the interest!

EVERYTHING IS SOLD.  I NO LONGER HAVE ANY PARTS FROM THIS SIDEKICK

Damn.  That's a shame you are going to part that one out.  It looks really straight and complete.   :(
35 years of Samurai ownership, and I still have my very first one. :)

I'll try to pull it tonight and get a weight on it.  Probably around $10 in shipping...

$40.00 is fine for the radio / wiring harness. How about throwing in the cigarette lighter (the push in portion and the little wire connection that plugs into the back)?

If not tell me what works for you.

                                                                      Thanks, Tux...

Complete, yes.  Straight, not really.  I've certainly seen worse, but it has some pretty significant damage to the body.  It gets to live on, keeping other sidekicks and trackers on the road!

Looks like both of them are broken...sorry, but I don't think you will want them!
